As a Geography Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to students in years 7 to 11, inspiring them to explore the world through the lens of geography.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Teach geography to students in years 7 to 11, adhering to the national curriculum and school policies.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons that cater to a range of abilities and backgrounds.
  • Assess students' work, provide constructive feedback, and track their progress.
  • Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's objectives.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
  • Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities and events, fostering a sense of community and school spirit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
  • In-depth knowledge of the current curriculum and assessment standards.
  • Effective behaviour management and classroom organisation skills.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for Geography and a dedication to educational excellence.
  • Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities and support the broader school community.
