Sales Territory Account Manager

We are currently recruiting a Territory Manager to develop and execute area business plans to drive growth and build strong relationships with contractors, wholesalers, and specifiers, while prioritizing customer interactions to achieve sales targets. To collaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate forecasts, customer proposals, and support new product development.

This is a remote based role with 80% travel to client sites covering Nottingham and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of area business plans to drive growth and profitability with Contractors and Wholesalers in your assigned geography.
  • Develop business relationships with contractors & branch managers and in your geographic area.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis.
  • Work with the Regional MK sales teams, Customer Service Team, and the wider HBT sales team on customer's proposals and orders.
  • Plan and prioritize customer/ client contact towards achieving agreed business aims and sales targets.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of working within the electrical industry (previous experience of dealing with electrical contractors and/or MK Electric & Honeywell Lighting Control would be an advantage)
  • Ability to form and manage customer relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Confident, shows optimistic 'can do attitude' and strong belief in own ability to succeed.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a successful, well-established team.
  • Confidence to prepare and lead meetings with internal and external customers.
