Senior Property Paralegal/Legal Executive - Land Rights

This person will be responsible for managing the acquisition of land rights for new and existing property projects in London. This role requires someone with strong negotiation skills and a keen understanding of property law and land acquisition processes.

Our client is a dynamic early-stage/startup IDNO backed by private equity. They have an IDNO licence and are regulated by Ofgem. They specialise in adopting and owning electricity connections for new build assets including; EV charging infrastructure, data centres, battery storage facilities, commercial & industrial premises and residential developments.

As they continue to grow and expand their operations, they are seeking a talented Paralegal/Legal Exec to act as a Land Rights Manager on their team to help build the business and add value to their customers' developments.

Description

  • To analyse and assess company risk within legal documentation and work closely with their solicitors to propose lower-risk solutions
  • To acquire land rights for their utilities inclusive of acquisitions, leases, deeds of servitude and equivalent consents across the UK
  • To manage the portfolio of projects associated with their clients' developments, ensuring effective communications are provided to all stakeholders and consents are completed efficiently
  • To liaise between the developers, agents and customer project teams, advising them of progress with negotiations, key areas of debate and concerns and contributing to successful solutions
  • To develop relationships with all parties involved in the land rights process to ensure efficient processes to benefit the company and their end customers

Profile

A successful Land Rights Manager should have:

  • A strong background in property law and land rights acquisition
  • Ideally you will have worked as a Paralegal or Legal Executive in a Utilities company, IDNO or similar.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • A strategic approach to land acquisition
  • The ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A good understanding of the property market and related trends
