  • Annual Salary: £42,000 - £51,000
  • Location: Bristol (Onsite 2 times a week)
  • Job Type: Full-time and Part-time available (if part time salary is pro-rated)

We are seeking an IT Business Analyst on behalf of our Bristol based client. Your role will be to operate strategically with several assigned directorates, enhancing business processes through expert business process modelling and identifying opportunities for technological advancements. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between IT operations and business functions, ensuring that IT requirements are aligned with business strategies.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate closely with business areas to articulate and refine business processes through advanced business process modelling.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and assess the impact of new requirements in collaboration with business and IT teams.
  • Engage with solution specialists, IT architects, and the test & release team to communicate business requirements and facilitate necessary changes.
  • Proactively participate in the service design function to develop a comprehensive understanding of cross-business issues, risks, and requirements.
  • Act as a trusted ambassador for IT, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and promoting the integration of technology to enhance business value.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in using Business Process Modelling (BPM) tools and notations.
  • Experienced in requirements management and skilled in various elicitation techniques such as focus groups and brainstorming.
  • Strong background in digital transformation, project planning, and management (e.g., Prince 2).
  • In-depth knowledge of core IT technologies including Microsoft Azure, O365/Office, SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Dynamics, and workflow management.
  • Experience with portal technologies is highly desirable, enhancing the ability to manage and integrate various digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, data modelling, data warehousing, and database technologies such as SQL.
  • Understanding of modern Agile software development principles, cloud service models, IT security models, and IT service management (ITIL).
