SEN Teaching Assistant - EYFS & KS1
Location: Brent (commutable from Harlesden, Willesden, Wembley, Neasden, Cricklewood, Kilburn)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £95 - £110 per day (depending on experience)

Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Brent that is looking to appoint five dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team for the new academic year. These positions will focus on providing tailored support to pupils in EYFS and KS1, including those with ASD, speech and language needs, and global developmental delays. The school is well-regarded for its inclusive ethos and supportive environment.

About the Role:

  • Working as a Teaching Assistant providing 1:1 and small group support in Reception and KS1.
  • Supporting children with a range of complex needs, particularly ASD and speech & language challenges.
  • Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation to help pupils engage fully in lessons.
  • Delivering learning interventions set by the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Promoting independence and social skills in the classroom and during unstructured times.

About You:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with SEN pupils in an educational or childcare setting is desirable.
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Ideally degree-educated or holding a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable, not essential).
