Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Pay Bracket: £26,000 - £27,000 + Benefits.

We are working well-established family run business specialising in manufacturing and distribution to both retail and contract customers based in Blackburn. They are looking for a credit control professional to join their team.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business with excellent working culture and exposure opportunities. This role will report to the financial controller, you will be responsible managing the debts of one of their businesses ensuring that invoices are paid on time. There will also be some general office administration as part of the daily duties.

Your main roles and responsibilities:

  • Keeping a close watch on debtor account balances
  • Chasing payment for overdue sales invoices
  • Responding to customer queries
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Posting and allocating daily cash receipts
  • Raising manual invoices / credit notes
  • Managing insured credit limits
  • Managing credit insurance claims
  • Creating new customer accounts and maintaining existing account details
  • Customer relations
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous credit control experience essential
  • Excellent customer service
  • Excellent teamwork
  • Persistence and determination
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel and Word
