Transport Administrator

Job description:

We are looking to recruit a Transport Administrator to work with our client, a reputable supply chain provider based on their IKEA contract.

This is a temporary-to-permanent position, running a 4 ON / 4 OFF shift pattern.

The hours of work are 07:00 until 19:00.

What will you do in a typical day?

  • Work with the team on the 'trunk-line' side of the contract, helping to oversee the smooth running of the IKEA store deliveries.
  • Regularly liaise with both drivers and site staff to ensure KPI's are met in line with the customers SLA agreement.
  • Co-ordinate the transport operations to meet both customer and company expectations.
  • Work alongside the Depot Manager to ensure the drivers rota's cover all required trunks.
  • Debrief crews and communicate with the customer on any scheduling issues.
  • Using the company CRM and other duties as required.
