Position: Learning Support Assistant (1-2-1 Support)
Duration: Long-term, ongoing position

Location: South Bristol
At our school, we believe in the power of tailored education and individualised support. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide one-on-one assistance to a little girl in Key Stage 2 with special educational needs. Your dedication and commitment will help her thrive academically and emotionally, empowering her to reach her full potential.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be an essential part of the child's educational journey, providing both emotional and academic support. You will serve as a reliable and consistent role model, fostering a nurturing environment for her growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised 1-2-1 support to a little girl with special educational needs
- Offer emotional support, promoting well-being and building self-confidence
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure effective support strategies
- Monitor progress, assess learning needs, and adapt teaching methods accordingly
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Passionate about supporting children with special educational needs
- Ability to provide reliable and consistent support as a role model
- Strong interpersonal skills and empathy
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and professionals
- Familiarity with EHCPs and IEPs (experience is a plus)
- Flexible, adaptable, and patient approach
- Minimum availability from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
We offer a competitive starting pay of £85 per day, with the potential for an increase based on your experience, qualifications, and expertise.
