Location: Wakefield, Yorkshire (Remote/Office/Site-Based)
Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Package

My client is a leading principal contractor based in Wakefield, specialising in M&E, Project Management, and Shopfitting services. They partner with major retail clients such as Greggs, ASDA, Selfridges, and Morrisons, delivering top-quality shopfitting and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with shopfitting experience to join the team and help manage upcoming projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial aspects of shopfitting projects, from cost planning and estimating to final accounts.
- Prepare, negotiate, and analyse tenders, contracts, and variations.
- Monitor budgets, forecast costs, and ensure projects stay on track financially.
- Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers to ensure cost-efficient delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the shopfitting sector is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project budgeting.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (e.g., RICS, HNC).
- Full UK driving license.
Working Arrangements:
- Flexible working options: Work remotely, from the office, or on-site as needed.
- Must be based within Yorkshire, with occasional travel to the Wakefield office and project sites.
