Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 + Package

My client is a leading principal contractor based in Wakefield, specialising in M&E, Project Management, and Shopfitting services. They partner with major retail clients such as Greggs, ASDA, Selfridges, and Morrisons, delivering top-quality shopfitting and refurbishment projects. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with shopfitting experience to join the team and help manage upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial aspects of shopfitting projects, from cost planning and estimating to final accounts.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and analyse tenders, contracts, and variations.
  • Monitor budgets, forecast costs, and ensure projects stay on track financially.
  • Conduct site visits and collaborate with project managers to ensure cost-efficient delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the shopfitting sector is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project budgeting.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (e.g., RICS, HNC).
  • Full UK driving license.

Working Arrangements:

  • Flexible working options: Work remotely, from the office, or on-site as needed.
  • Must be based within Yorkshire, with occasional travel to the Wakefield office and project sites.
