About the Role:
As a Science Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the science department, ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory activities. You will be responsible for preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and assisting with practical experiments. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the educational experience of students and the overall efficiency of the science department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons and experiments.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain and organise laboratory supplies and inventory.
- Assist teachers and students during practical science lessons.
- Follow strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide technical support and guidance to students and staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of laboratory activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A background in science (minimum A-level or equivalent; a degree in a scientific discipline is advantageous).
