As Head of Design Technology you will be line managing the department and playing a key role in maximising the performance of the curriculum, working closely with the Senior Leadership team.
In order to be a full-time Head of DT teacher, you will need to have qualified teacher status. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up-to-date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst always demonstrating a professional manor. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills, as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
