Job Description:
Our client in Wellingborough is seeking a reliable Production Operative with a mechanical aptitude. This role is essential for the maintenance and operation of DI exchange cylinders, involving the refilling, emptying, and handling of cylinders. The position offers a temporary contract with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cylinder Management: Efficiently empty and refill DI exchange cylinders, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.
- Water Processing: Pass water through the cylinders, monitor the process, and manage the refilling of exhausted cylinders.
- Resin Handling: Safely suck out resins from cylinders and dispose of them in designated waste sacks.
- Vacuuming: Use appropriate equipment to vacuum out resin, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Mechanical Tasks: Apply mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and maintain equipment involved in the process.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical processes and equipment operation.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate handling of cylinders and resins.
- Physical Fitness: Capable of performing manual handling tasks and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Reliability: Punctual, reliable, and able to commit to the full duration of the contract.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and other departments.
