Temporary Ongoing IT Support Technician

CAR DRIVER REQUIRED!

NG8, Nottingham

£11.44ph-£11.75ph

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, Temp on going.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support via phone, remote, and on-site visits.
  • Follow established processes within your area of expertise.
  • Administer incidents and service requests using the ITSM tool, ensuring accurate records.
  • Record and report data to support Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Promote customer-focused service and act as a customer advocate.
  • Configure and deploy new IT hardware, including PCs, printers, and telephones.
  • Maintain and update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Create and test PC image configuration files for new devices.
  • Install and configure IT desktop devices.
  • Provide end-user support and formally hand over new IT equipment.
  • Action software upgrade requests with minimal user disruption.
  • Support the Infrastructure Team with equipment configuration and network maintenance.
  • Identify service improvements and contribute to Service Improvement Plans.
  • Maintain IT devices to minimise disruption and diagnose incidents, escalating as needed.
  • Use Remote Management software for remedial tasks.
  • Manage your own workload efficiently.
  • Assist in IT asset audits and stock control.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong technical support background.
  • Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
