DBS Facilities Technician

Facilities Technician

Our client, a reputable organisation, is currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will report to the Facilities Manager (FM) / Assistant Facilities Manager (AFM) and play a key role in providing support to ensure that facilities services are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service and ensure client expectations are met.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with customers at all levels.
  • Support reception by covering breaks and absence as required by the FM / AFM.
  • Book onsite meeting rooms and hospitality in accordance with client requests and site procedures.
  • Demonstrate a high level of security awareness and have knowledge of emergency evacuation procedures and Health & Safety.
  • Issue ID and access badges for new hires/vendors/visitors and maintain records of the same.
  • Monitor and maintain office and badge consumables in line with agreed stock levels.
  • Conduct site induction for new starters and act as the first line of support for any concerns raised as a result of online DSE (Display Screen Equipment) assessments.
  • Understand and actively support our client's Quality Management programme.
  • Resolve issues highlighted through site inspections or customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Manage all requests on the Facilities helpdesk and liaise with our client's ES (Enterprise Solutions) team and service providers.
  • Handle and assist with incoming and outgoing mail enquiries according to existing procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the seating plan.
  • Process and control purchase orders, invoices, and work orders.
  • Support the completion of reports and documentation to meet required deadlines.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the Facilities Team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrated customer-focused and assertive nature.
  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Facilities experience desired.
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel is essential.
