My client is a proven civil engineering contractor who is looking for an individual to lead a project in the North of England. The role involves effective project and construction management of a scheme. As the Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the successful delivery of construction projects. You will be responsible for coordinating and leading a team of engineers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the review of progress, budget resources, forward planning, and lookahead programmes are carried out
  • Risk management
  • Chair and attend internal and external meetings
  • Procurement of materials
  • Engaging subcontractors
  • Ensure site team are compliant with commercial policies and procedures
  • Attend tender handover meetings and deliver pre-start meetings to the site team
  • Produce and analyse progress reports, updated costs and forecasts

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to display previous experience gained in a similar role
  • A degree or certificate in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • A UK driving license
