Patient Coordinator

I am pleased to be working with a prestigious Birchwood-based client, who are one of the UK's fastest-growing Health & Wellbeing companies, who are currently searching for two experienced Patient Coordinators to join their busy team. They are hiring on a full-time, permanent basis and this is a hybrid role.

Benefits:

  • Salary – £32,000 per annum initially, with an increase to £36,000 per annum after 3 months, subject to performance
  • Working Hours – The business is open from 7am to 7pm 7 days a week, so working hours will vary depending on the staff rota. The working day will consist of an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7am and 7pm. As the clinic operates on weekends, there will also be an expectation for two weekend days to be worked per month - again on a rota basis.
  • Holidays – 28 days including bank holidays
  • Hybrid Working Model – This is a hybrid role, with 2 days being worked from home and 3 days in the office

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the patient journey, from first enquiry right up until their procedure is booked in. They will be responsible for making initial contact with prospective patients, explaining the process, discussing costs and providing advice to ensure a smooth process. Please note, this is not a sales role and there will be no cold calling involved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for patients enquiring about procedures, making contact by phone and email
  • Go through procedures in detail, answering any questions patients may have and offering reassuring and compassionate advice
  • Discuss pricing and payment information, ensuring a good degree of accuracy and detail
  • Booking in initial in-person assessments with local clinics, ensuring that the patient is aware of where they need to be and what the initial assessment will involve
  • Guide patients through the initial process, right up until their procedure is booked
  • Training will be provided on all of the above points!

Specification:

  • A background within a similar Medical/Dental/NHS role is required
  • A people person; someone who can effectively communicate details of procedures and costings whilst being able to maintain a respectful and compassionate demeanour
  • Experience within a similar Patient Coordinator role would be desirable
  • Competent computer skills, with a particular focus on MS Office Package including SharePoint
  • Confident in using WhatsApp to communicate
  • A willingness to learn new skills and processes
