The role:

As a Senior Test Engineer in our Solihull office, you'll part of a dynamic team of QA testers forming a vital part of our testing effort. Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that the Senior Test Engineer has previous experience of working with browser, mobile, and QA automation tools.

KEY RESULT AREAS

Working closely with the Development Team to enhance processes on an ongoing basis and drive best practice within the Test team.

Facilitating and unblock any issues within QA for the development teams, improve, innovate and lead QA and Testing methods within an agile environment.

Working with the Management team to identify and drive improvements to the test processes and deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Working with your peers to implement and lead the QA and testing policy, strategy, and roadmap - which includes System Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test and Quality Assurance for all our applications, platforms and integrations.
  • Ensure the quality of our web, mobile and API software.
  • Ensure test coverage is appropriate to ensure delivery of quality.
  • Continue to increase automation coverage of our application, platform and integrations to reduce the volume of manual testing.
  • Increasing the overall quality of testing, leading to a reduction in number of production issues as a result of delivering change, as well as implementing an effective Defect Management process.
  • Monitor and implement remedial action enabling all relevant testing standards and procedures are defined and applied, including adopting the appropriate Test Strategy for the specific development methodology.
  • Collaborate with engineers, business analysts, and designers to solve interesting and challenging problems for delivering scalable technology worldwide.
  • Review and apply appropriate governance, confirming that all the deliverables for products and projects are tested in accordance with the testing policy, and monitor all stages of the development lifecycle including systems testing, user acceptance testing and release testing.
  • Design, enhance and build out end to end and performance test automation.
  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert within the QA and test team.
  • Be well informed of new testing mechanisms, tooling and test strategies that can be implemented within best practices.
  • Measure and report on progress and quality, generating reporting of performance vs required KPI's.
  • Identify new KPI's to aid the improvement of quality.
