  • Job Type: Full-time, 2-3 month contract.

We are looking for a Facilities Manager to provide leadership, ownership, and direction across the Facilities Management department, supporting the delivery of our strategic aims and objectives. This role requires a professional who can ensure the delivery of an FM service in line with IWFM principles and guidance, enforce standards, manage compliance, and drive staff development.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Develop and deliver strategies and policies for all aspects of Facilities Management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Provide professional support, guidance, advice, and prepare reports for the executive leadership team and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure departmental resilience by providing cover for other managers and making business decisions in their absence.
  • Contribute to the development of the property portfolio and services, including build, acquisition, disposal, and capital investment plans.
  • Lead the daily management and function of the Facilities Management department.
  • Manage performance across the department, including SLAs, procurement, and contract management.
  • Oversee a range of FM services force-wide, ensuring compliance and effective management.
  • Manage budgets and forecasts, negotiate contracts, and ensure value for money.
  • Drive continuous improvement and implement service and process improvements.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and ensure effective communication strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business or Facilities Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Qualification in a relevant Health and Safety area (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH) is desirable.
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., IWFM, CIOB) is desirable.
  • Experience managing a high-quality, customer-focused business support service.
  • Experience in formulating strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of contract management and tendering processes.
  • Experience managing and motivating staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Software Applications and CAFM systems
  • Full valid UK Driving License
