Reed HR are proud to be recruiting for a HR Advisor to support a UK leading specialist importer and distributor based in Newport.
This is a standalone HR role where you will oversee HR operations and maintain a positive culture within the organisation in a truly generalist role!

What you'll be doing:
- Maintain time and absence management records and assist line managers with processes and communications with employees.
- Provide advice on benefits for employees and managers, ensuring fair and equal treatment.
- Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy. Administer employment offers, contracts, and new starter packs.
- Assist in writing and reviewing job descriptions, preparing interview materials, and overseeing recruitment processes.
- Oversee the assessment, delivery, and evaluation of training and development programs.
- Administer contractual and payroll amendments in coordination with relevant managers and departments.
- Maintain HR Information Systems, ensuring accurate employee records.
- Support change management processes and apply HR and business knowledge with appropriate decision-making skills.
- Monitor, review, and update HR policies and processes, implementing changes where necessary.
- Develop HR policies and procedures to support employee wellbeing and legal compliance.
- Remain approachable and supportive to all employees, fostering a team spirit across the organisation.
What you'll need:
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role.
- Strong understanding of HR operations and legal compliance.
- Ability to manage complex employee relations cases.
