Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for Train cleaning Team Leader to join our passionate and driven team based at our client's site in Eversholt Street, London

Reporting to the Supervisor**,** this role will lead by example and ensure that you/your team are delivering the highest possible standards in line with the cleaning specification. You will also:

  • Offer support and guidance to Cleaning operatives within your team
  • Ensure that, where reasonably possible, targets set for your team are met
  • Ensure that your team maintain high standards of Health & Safety, service quality and time management

Operate in a helpful and professional manner towards internal and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to, colleagues, clients and passengers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and ensure that your team meet operational requirements
  • Develop strong working relationships with operatives in your team and motivate them to provide high standards of service delivery
  • Offer support and guidance to operatives to equip them with the skills and knowledge to carry out their role effectively
  • Raise any issues relating to your team, service delivery, equipment, stock or any other relevant information to a Supervisor or Manager in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all reasonable requests from Managers and Supervisors are carried out by yourself and/or your team to the best of their ability
  • Act in a professional manner at all times and engage with internal and external stakeholders, including passengers, respectfully and appropriately at all times
  • Fully engage with all mandatory occupational training, as required
  • Be a good representative for the Atalian Servest brand at all times.
  • Ensure that you and your team are aware of, and following, the railway security (HOT and WHAT) protocols
  • Ensure that you and your team and are working safely and in accordance with the RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) and SSoW (safe systems of work) including but not limited to, ensuring that you are wearing the correct uniform and PPE for the task being completed.
  • Have awareness of, and adhere to, accident and near miss reporting requirements for your area
  • Take responsibility for the safety of yourself, colleagues, and anyone else who could be affected by what you do, or do not do, reporting unsafe conditions or actions immediately.
  • Follow the rules, training and instructions that are applicable to your location of work and role.
  • You are expected to report accidents and incidents and then actively co-operate with, and support investigations as required. Any accidents or incidents must be reported in accordance with the contracted process and timescales. Investigation and discussion of accidents, incidents and near misses will be carried out with due diligence to learn from events and improve safety.
  • Inform your safety representative, manager, or the helpdesk if you have any concern or an idea for how we can improve safety.
