We are looking for a Decorator to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
Key responsibilities
- Painting and decorating of various size properties, internally & externally.
- Hanging and lining of wallpaper and quantifying wallpaper amounts.
- Painting walls, doors, windowsills & skirting boards etc.
- French polishing of woodwork.
- Supporting other trades professionals to produce an excellent finish.
- Other related tasks and dealing with all painting and decoration tasks as required.
- To execute workmanship to a high standard and ensure it is carried out in strict compliance with health and safety work act.
- Excellent skills and practical knowledge of all aspects of decorating.
- Seasonal shift & on call rota.
- Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.
- Any other duties as and when required.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities
- Painting & Decorating qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds.
- Knowledge of current building materials and their uses.
- Experience of special paint effects & French polishing.
- General knowledge of Building Regulations.
- Health & Safety and COSHH.
- Fit & Healthy with the ability assemble and erect scaffolding, and to climb ladders.
- Be able to follow specific instructions.
- Have practical ability and manual skills.
- Full Clean UK driving licence.
- Significant proven experience.
