Transport Planner
Transport Planner required! My client is a family run general haulage business, priding themselves on the service they provide to customers. They are now looking for someone to join the transport team, assisting with the planning and routing of the vehicles.
Transport Planner - Job Responsibilities
- Planning routes for the fleet of 40+, this includes a range of tankers, vans, hook loaders, and LGVs.
- Keeping in communication with the drivers and dealing with any issues that may arise e.g. route issues.
- General administrative duties.
- Ensuring all vehicles and drivers are legally complaint.
- Oversee maintenance of vehicles, ensuring all services and inspections are completed.
- Optimising routes and monitoring transport costs.
Transport Planner - Requirements
- Proven experience in transport planning or coordinating
- IT and geographical knowledge
- Tachograph knowledge is desirable
- Having the willingness to learn, problem solve, and work as part of a team
Remuneration
- Hours - Monday-Friday, varied shifts as the office is open from 6:30am-7pm, shift pattern is 6:30am-3:30pm, 8:30am-5:30pm, or 10am-7pm with one hour lunch break.
- Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
