Part Time Purchasing Administrator

Location: Thatcham

Role Type: Part-Time, 15 hours a week

Salary: £9,600 per annum (£24,000 pro rata)

Overview:

Our client is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join their team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with a good personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. While 1-2 years of administration or purchasing experience is a significant benefit, full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing:

  • Handle procurement tasks, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, and managing purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies.

Administrative Support:

  • Perform general administrative duties including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
  • Utilise MS Office, specifically SharePoint, Word, and Excel, to prepare reports and documentation.
  • Maintain and update ERP systems with accurate information.
  • Support and provide holiday cover for the Operations Assistant with various shipping duties and documentation requirements.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with team members, other departments, and international offices.
  • Contribute ideas and opinions on best practises to improve team efficiency and processes.

Organisational Skills:

  • Implement efficient working practises to ensure high productivity.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail in all tasks to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience:

  • 2 years of administration or purchasing experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in administrative and purchasing tasks is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong command of SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
