Welder/Fabricator

As part of the WH Scott Group, we are seeking highly motivated Welders/Fabricators to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for for joining metal using a variety of techniques, to form structures and equipment for RHC Lifting clients and customers. The welder / fabricator will be involved in cutting and welding materials according to technical plans and drawings created by design engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Reads, interprets, prepares materials and builds from technical drawings as assigned by the Projects Team.
  • Competently and safely operates welding, cutting and drilling equipment.
  • Ensures all work carried out is done safely and in accordance with RHC Lifting safety policies and procedures.
  • Inspect and test finished products for functionality and adherence to specification's.
  • Assists in workshop assembly and testing activities.
  • Provides general workshop assistance including carrying out painting of lifting equipment.
  • Ensures high standards of quality are maintained at all times.
  • Measures, cuts and bends steel components for construction.
  • Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in the enhancement of fabrication methods, seeking efficiency and reduction of costs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Operate in accordance with Company values at all times.
  • Any other reasonable duties as determined by the Directors.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical knowledge for working with various tools and equipment
  • Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations
  • Experience in welding, fabricating, and working with sheet metal
  • Ability to stick weld is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
