Operations Manager

Monday - Friday (40 hour Week)

Swindon

£40,000

Our client based in Swindon are looking for a Operations Manager to oversee and manage the entire logistics and supply chain operations within the organisation.

The successful individual will ensure that all products are delivered on time, within budget and meets all regulatory requirements.

The Operations Manager will work closely with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiency and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Management of the following areas are required:

  • Stock adjustments
  • Material Purchasing
  • Packaging waste
  • BOMs
  • Stock items
  • Stock reconciliation

The ideal candidate will have experience in the above areas, as well as staff management and knowledge of warehouse systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Logistics planning and strategy - Develop and implement strategies that optimise transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes
  • Supply Chain Management - Oversee end to end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, transportation and delivery
  • Inventory Control - Implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate records and optimal inventory levels
  • Transportation Management - Negotiate contracts with transportation providers and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
  • Warehouse Management - Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage and distribution of goods
  • Team Leadership - Lead, monitor and develop the logistics / warehouse tea, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Process Improvement - Analyse departmental processes and identify area for improvement
  • Compliance and safety - Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Customer Service- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Proven experience in logistics management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of logistics regulations and compliance standards.
