The Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join a profitable and interesting industrial SME business based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. As part of a small team, the Financial Controller will have full responsibility for the Finance function, providing lots of variety as the role covers end to end finance.
Main duties/responsibilities:
- Day to day accounting operations;
- Financial reporting - preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts;
- Treasury management including Forex transactions;
- Leading the audit;
- Maintaining internal controls;
- Budgeting and forecasting;
- Supporting the business with financial strategy and decision-making processes; and
- Ad-hoc duties e.g. supporting the business across various functions such as procurement and sales
You will be/have:
- A qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager/Controller
- Comfortable taking a hands-on approach
- A strong team player
- Capable of running the finance function autonomously and managing one direct report
- Sage 50 experience an advantage, but not essential
Benefits:
- Salary of up to £55,000
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
- Working hours 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday with an option to leave early on a Friday depending on workload (degree of flexibility on start/finish times if required)
