History teachers wanted for KS3 and KS4 in Rossendale

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to join our educators team in Rossendale, supporting KS3 and KS4 students. The daily pay rate for this role varies between £155 and £230, based on your experience, qualifications, and teaching skills.

The role involves creating engaging lesson plans, delivering dynamic instruction, and assessing student progress to ensure a thorough understanding and appreciation of historical events and contexts. Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to subject development by producing, reviewing and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Teach classes allocated and provide a well planned challenging, purposeful learning environment
  • Develop approach to self - directed learning, use technology to support learning
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Set homework and mark promptly
  • Ensure a high quality of teaching and learning takes place
  • Deal with immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy and procedures
  • Respond to questioning

Personal attributes:

  • Experience up to key stage 3/4
  • QTS/PGCE equivalent
