Purpose of the role
The Change and Adoption Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of change management activities on tech-enabled change projects, in-line with the organisational Change approach. The role is responsible for the delivery of an improved people experience and more timely user adoption of tech-enabled solutions. The role holder will develop and implement a change management strategy tailored to meet the needs of individual projects.
Responsibilities
Enabling Sustainable Change
- Working on projects within the Technology portfolio ensuring that mechanisms are in place to allow outcomes to be adopted, benefits delivered and sustained, and change is embedded.
- Work as a change resource on high user impacting projects to ensure user adoption and more sustainable implementation of change is enabled through effective change management strategies.
- Develop and implement change management plans to ensure the success of projects.
- Generate widespread interest and engagement in projects and programmes and share this approach to support change management across the organisation.
Communications & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, coach and counsel stakeholders in the development of a compelling narrative for change.
- Reduce ambiguity and establish change messages which are cohesive and clear, improving understanding of the rationale for change.
Project Delivery
- Develop and implement robust success measures/ criteria to determine, inform and evidence effective delivery and outcome/benefits realisation.
- Provide clarity on how project management and change management interact and a robust change methodology for Technology is developed to complement existing delivery approaches.
- Recruit, nurture, direct and develop Technology change agents/champions or equivalent to become a cohort of champions of change/ early adopters.
Experience
- Experience in enabling transformation business change through the planning and delivery of effective change management
- Experience in executing training and communications programmes to support the implementation of technology-enabled projects or digital transformations
- Proven ability to lead people through change and transition
- Experience of operating effectively with senior leaders, including to influence, persuade and negotiate with
- Experience of coaching leaders and managers in change
- Proven examples of developing communications to increase user adoption
- Detailed understanding of change management theory and practice, including different models and their effectiveness
- The ability to draw data from many sources, to interpret this information and to make coherent recommendations based upon the outcomes
