Accounts Assistant

Think Accountancy & Finance is collaborating with an exceptional and rapidly expanding client to offer an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant. This role provides the chance to develop and grow alongside the business.

We are looking for someone who is driven, self motivated and has the motivation to succeed. Xero/Sage knowledge is desirable and proficientcy in Excel is a must!

Position Details:

  • Location: Otley, Leeds (Must drive)
  • Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 (depending on experience)
  • Type: Permanent, fully office-based

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchase ledger
  • Handle sales ledger, queries, and debt chasing
  • Conduct billing and bank reconciliations
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Process bank transactions
  • Oversee monthly expenses, payment runs, and invoice processing
  • Assist with other ad-hoc duties to support financial management

Requirements:

  • Part qualified, AAT qualified, or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with accounting software (Sage, Xero)
  • Proficiency in Excel (including Pivots, VLOOKUPS, and formulas)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
  • Experience within a practice is advantageous
