Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper based between Chelmsford & Braintree on a permanent basis.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS WORKING IN THE OFFICE 5 DAYS A WEEK
The successful will be responsible for the day-to-day running of accounts for a small business.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitoring cashflows
- Accruals and prepayments
- Stock Adjustments
- Closing down month end
- Bank postings & reconciliations
- Customer & supplier account reconciliation
- Preparation, recording & reviewing of monthly accounts including currency revaluations, prepayments, accruals, journals & closing the month in Sage
- VAT returns
- Credit control
- Processing monthly payroll and submission to HMRC & pension provider
- Sending customer invoices & statements
- Processing & allocating customer payments
- Answering customer queries by phone & email
- Producing any customs documentation needed
- Monitoring cost prices for all goods and services
- Liaising with suppliers and dealing with any queries by phone & email
- Processing Supplier payments
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Qualified to at least AAT Level 2
- Excellent attention to detail
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounts environment
- Flexible approach towards work
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Must be familiar with use of SAGE 50 & MS office
- Ideally have own transport due to company location
Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 and this is a full time office based position.
In return our client offers a salary of up to £32,000 per annum which may be negotiable depending on experience.
