About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and driven Business Development Manager - Well Construction Products to lead the growth and expansion of our Well Construction Products (WCP) business unit across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role will play a key part in driving sales growth either directly or through agents and distributors, within targeted markets.

You'll also contribute to shaping and executing the overall sales strategy for the WCP product line and support the company in achieving its strategic objectives.

This is a fully remote role, offering the right individual the autonomy to grow a "business within a business." You will have opportunities for international travel, while also enjoying an incredible work-life balance through flexible, remote working arrangements.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Lead sales capture strategies and oversee the performance of agents/distributors to ensure market penetration and brand recognition.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Group to integrate client feedback into the design and development of new and existing products.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements in well construction, drilling, and completion technologies.
  • Support product development efforts to expand the Well Construction Product Line and meet market needs.
  • Coordinate tenders, quotes, and sales forecasts to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with agents and distributors to ensure effective market representation, alignment with business goals, and achievement of sales targets in key regions.

About You

To play a part in our continued expansion and success, we are seeking someone who ideally has:

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing a proven track record of success, along with an extensive network of relevant customers and industry contacts to drive business growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and develop new business opportunities within the Well Construction segment of the Oil and Gas industry, with a strong understanding of market dynamics, client needs, and industry trends.
  • Proven ability to leverage extensive knowledge of the Casing Running and Cementing phases of Well Construction operations to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities, enhance client relationships, and drive business growth within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Ability to successfully engage with drilling and completion engineers and develop strong and mutually beneficial vendor/client relationships.
  • Superior presentation, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and readiness to travel frequently as required for business purposes.

In addition, the following would be considered highly advantageous:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Previous work experience with an Oilfield Service Company
