An Interim Financial Controller is needed to lead the Accounting & Finance department in a engineering firm based in Bristol. The ideal candidate should be able to manage a finance function, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget/ forecasts preparation and management senior stakeholder relationships.

Description
- Oversee all aspects of the finance function including invoicing, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Lead the operational finance function and set the standards for financial management in the business as a key member of the senior leadership team.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Provide regular cash-flow forecasts with which build from actual position and reflect planned business activity.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate rates to be used for pricing and project costing.
- Manage and track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
- Evaluate, implement, and maintain appropriate reporting systems, processes and controls to manage the finances of projects and of the business as a whole.
Profile
The successful Interim Financial Controller should have:
- An experienced Financial Controller, ideally with substantial PQE leading in Finance teams.
- Experience in project-based industries is highly desirable.
- Hold a CCAB accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- A team player who can communicate with non-financial colleagues.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of project financing solutions would b advantageous.
