Pension Data Analyst - £40K (Very Negotiable) + 5-10% Bonus + Pension + Benefits

I'm currently supporting a well established and successful Life and Pensions Business with the build out of their BPA (Bulk Purchase Annuities) business.

Having successfully recruited the key Heads of Business Development, Pricing, Legal and Transitions, they are now looking for a Pension Data Analyst to support with the successful onboarding of BPA business to their current platform.

You will perform analysis of large defined benefit data sets and provide support and meaningful insights to stakeholders.

The Role:

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, data, processes, and systems, providing informed recommendations throughout the implementation cycle
  • Data Analysis: Evaluate defined benefit datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness from both pricing and administration perspective
  • Data Configuration: Set up data parameters and transform data received from pension scheme administrators
  • Data Management: Load data, complete control totals for audits, and prepare data for our in-house platform
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor data quality, identify errors, and take corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Incident Resolution: Analyze, resolve, and fix incidents and defects within agreed turnaround times, coordinating with colleagues and third-party suppliers
  • Data Adjustments: Undertake data fixes not supported by standard processes and input scree
  • Process and System Enhancement: Specify and test enhancements to processes and systems supporting our BPA business
  • User Support: Provide support for deployment and usage of desktop devices and tools in the BPA Customer Service function, advising end-users as needed
  • Minor Change Delivery: Handle minor change requests and data fixes, workflow amendments, and application changes for the BPA business
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and suggest areas for potential development and efficiency improvements
  • Team Development: Support knowledge sharing across the team and assist in the development of colleagues
  • Risk Analysis: Conduct risk analysis on incidents and escalate issues promptly
  • Compliance: Adhere to FCA and PRA conduct standards, notifying the Head of BPA Transitions of any regulatory matters as required

About you

  • Previous experience as a Data Analyst / Actuarial Analyst with understanding and exposure to defined benefit pensions
  • Advanced excel
  • trong Data Analytics
  • Superior communication skills
