Our Client, a leading planning consultancy committed to delivering innovative and sustainable urban solutions are looking for a Graduate Town Planner to join their team in Sheffield!

You will work across diverse projects, from regenerating historic areas to planning new developments that enhance the quality of life for communities. Based in the heart of Sheffield, they pride themselves on their collaborative approach, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and the community to create spaces that work for everyone.

The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Town Planner to join our dynamic client. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of town planning. You will be involved in a wide range of projects, from initial feasibility studies to detailed planning applications. As a Graduate Town Planner you'll have the chance to work on projects that make a real difference, supported by experienced professionals who are passionate about mentoring the next generation of planners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications.
  • Conduct research and analysis on planning policies, site constraints, and development opportunities.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and the public through consultations and meetings.
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive planning solutions.
  • Stay updated on planning legislation, policy changes, and best practices.

About You:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • A strong understanding of UK planning legislation and policy.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A team player with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • A keen interest in sustainable development and urban regeneration.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as GIS, AutoCAD, or similar is an advantage.
