About the Role

As a Commercial Analyst you will take responsibility for collecting, analysing, and reporting sales data.

Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams you will provide insights to the business which can improve sales performance and identify customer trends.

You'll get the chance to lead and develop the forecasting, budgeting and controlling of sales volumes, values and margins for our UK sales of bricks and associated products.

Duties are varied and include:

  • Own the commercial forecast process for bricks, working with the Sales team to generate regular forecasts and insights based on commercial knowledge, leading the process of generating brick sales revenues and margins for the quarterly/annual budget and Business Plan
  • Review and analyse daily sales up to gross margin identifying anomalies and communicating findings to relevant departments
  • Provide month end commentary on performance to the Board and HQ in Vienna
  • Developing analysis visualisation (via Qlik Sense)
  • Act as system key user for BI and Qlik for the UK business
  • Monitor rebate deals linked to UK brick revenue
  • Partner with the Commercial Controlling Team
  • Support the growth of regional sales analysis & work with your fellow analysts within the UK & Ireland region to share best practice

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday. 9am to 5pm

About you

You will be an experienced analyst who has had exposure to reporting and analysing trends in a corporate envionrment.

You will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal), with experience adapting your style to suit non-techincal audiences.

You will also have:

  • Understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical ability (experienced interrogating data via excel and data analysis tools)
  • Experience visualising data (e.g., Qlik Sense, Tableau or Power BI)
  • Experience identifying trends and exploring underlying causes of discrepancies/anomalies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to handle confidential information
  • Degree in a numerical subject, or equivalent experience/training
