The Role:
The opportunity is to join a prestigious financial services organisation, working in their talented platform engineering team, ensuring all applications are set up and running correctly for testing purposes.
This client operates on a hybrid working model with 2 days being onsite in Moorgate
The Responsibilities:
- Work with Project Managers, Test Teams and Change Managers, to ensure the correct environment is set up, through technical installation, configuration and support, for detailed application testing.
- Drive automation within the delivery process, utilising Python primarily, and update CI/CD pipelines
- Provide assistance to the S/W Engineering team for QA testing
- Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot the existing test environments
- Compiling and updating detailed deployment instruction documentation
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience with Linux to v.8 and Windows up to v.2019 O/S
- Excellent python scripting skills are essential for this role
- Demonstrable experience with CI/CD tools such as Ansible, BitBucket, Bamboo and Artifactory
- Good understanding of virtualised environments and experience working in an Agile framework
- Strong knowledge of GitLab/GitHub
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
