We are looking for a Middlesbrough based Buyer to work on two sites in the County Durham area. Contract is for 12 months + with a good rate.
If you are Buyer who has experience in procurement of machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies or services with a manufacturing or engineering company. The successful contractor will be required to review and optimise suppliers, and approve purchases of the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price.
Working with two other Buyers, as well as an Analyst, this person will work with internal suppliers and stakeholders of different categories of business i.e. engineering, logistics. Will be the interface between the supplier and stakeholders for any concerns. Scope of work is very diverse with many opportunities to learn and expands across whole business.
You will need great verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills. The ability to analyse financial reports, price proposals and other technical data. As well as the ability to accurately document and record customer/client information. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to purchasing and experience in supply chain management.
We are looking for a Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Finance or a related business field. Strong Excel knowledge is needed as there is a high number of supplier portals, so need to have experience working across multiple systems and be able to adapt. The client is using Microsoft Office, Visio & purchasing systems. PowerBi knowledge would be a great advantage for reporting.
This role is split between two sites in County Durham with the expectation to be on either site at least 4 days per week. The working hours are 08:30-16:30 core hours Mon-Thurs and Friday until 12:30. At £25.00 per hour PAYE inside IR35 for a 12 month plus duration.
