Housing for Women is a registered charity and independent housing association. We are now seeking a Senior HR Officer to join our team on a full-time, 6-month fixed term basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As a Senior HR Officer, you will support the HR Manager in delivering an effective and comprehensive HR service.

Providing generalist HR advice and support across the organisation, you will work closely with managers to address staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies and maintain our in-house HR system.

Managing the recruitment process from start to finish, you will directly source candidates, ensure the hiring of the right candidates for approved vacancies and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, recruitment agencies and candidates.

You will also contribute to improving the onboarding and induction processes, designing and delivering training on recruitment and producing necessary reports.

A key focus will be on supporting organisational change and ensuring smooth employee transitions through policies such as redundancy and TUPE transfers.

Additionally, you will:

- Oversee and monitor the recruitment budget and expenditure
- Manage employee relations and provide support on employee relations cases
- Ensure compliance with employment law, referencing and pre-employment checks

About You

To be considered as a Senior HR Officer, you will need:

- Experience working within HR and/or recruitment
- Experience and knowledge of using HR Systems
- Experience of office administration
- Working knowledge of employment legislation and its application
- An understanding of employee relations casework issues
- An awareness of diversity issues
