MDT Administrator

Job Title: MDT Administrator Neurosurgery

Location: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust

Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday (Flexible)

Trust Location: Queen's Medical Centre, Derby Road, Nottingham, NG7 2UH

What you'll be responsible for:

  1. To carry out administrative duties in relation to the team meetings and ensuring appropriate records are maintained
  2. You will be responsible for inputting and maintaining a robust data collection system to provide clinical and cancer waiting times information and to produce reports as required by members of the MDT.
  3. Working under own initiative but also as part of a small team, organising the day-to-day tasks of the role, liaising closely with the tumour site lead, members of the MDT, clinicians, specialty managers and the cancer management team.
  4. You will be an integral part of the Trust's achievements of local and national cancer targets.
  5. You will have to deal with and be exposed, indirectly, to sensitive and often emotional circumstances as they follow the Cancer Patient through the treatment pathways

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively always complete your role to the highest standard
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

Skills:

  • Good use of PC skills.
  • Proven clerical experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Works to deadlines.
  • Medical terminology.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
