Medical Receptionist, Part Time

3 Days Per Week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - not negotiable)

9.30am - 6.00pm

£T.B.D, depending on experience

Our client is seeking a responsible and reliable receptionist to join their medical practice's front office team. They are a person-centred, small, friendly and established clinic. They are looking to find someone who can run the reception desk on their own, be a self-starter who can report to the clinic director on a regular basis and who can work with minimal requirement for supervision.

Essential Requirements:

Ability to use Mailchimp to independently write and send out Newsletters to patients.

Confident regarding GDPR, CQC, Social Media and update the business profile, posts etc.

Highly computer literate and have the ability to adapt to medical assessment forms as.

Required and be able to set up new forms on a variety of systems (Cliniko, Google Forms etc).

Full suite of software knowledge essential to generate relevant clinic info as required.

Standard DBS required.

Main Duties:

Serve patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Use practice management software (PMS), patient portal and appointment reminder systems, mobile applications, and other forms of technology to manage scheduling, interact with patients and providers, and update files and patients' records. Welcome patients and visitors in person or on the telephone and take detailed messages as needed and optimise patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone. Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of a patient's arrival, review service delivery compared to schedule, and remind providers of service delays. Minimise patients' stress by anticipating their anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining a calm and orderly environment in the reception area. Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, monitoring credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies and solving problems. Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.

Ideally you will have worked in the Medical Industry within an Admin/Reception role and you will have solid experience with GDPR and CQC.

Superb interpersonal and communication skills are required and a great work ethic is essential.
