FULL TIME, OFFICE BASED ROLE

I have partnered with a successful entertainment company to recruit a hands-on Accounts Receivable Associate to join their busy finance team. Working collaboratively with various internal teams, the role involves keeping track of payments due and ensuring they are paid on time. The successful candidate will handle invoicing, monitor payment and work with various internal teams to resolve payment issues, whilst keeping financial records up to date.

Key Responsibilities include:

Aged Debit Management

  • Maintain aged debt records, prepare reports for board meetings, and advise on potential risks.
  • Regularly chase outstanding debts and recommend bad debt provisions when necessary.

Banking - Manage receipt coding and allocation, ensuring accuracy in payments received.

Month-End Procedures:

  • Invoice various accounts, update tax tracker, and ensure all financial postings are accurate and complete.

Working with various departments:

  • Licensing:
  • Retail, E-Commerce, and Joint Ventures:
  • Update and maintain sales trackers for UK, Europe daily.
  • File and manage sales sheets within Outlook, preparing manual invoices as required.
  • Reconcile settlements with sales sheets, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Coordinate with various departments on sell-off deals and invoice collection.
  • Generate royalty and advance invoices on our finance system.
  • Oversee the Withholding Tax tracker and liaise with licensing for issue resolution.
  • Updating royalty management system with payments.
  • Ensure timely reporting and invoicing for retail and e-commerce operations.
  • Liaise with retail partners regarding queries and overdue payments.

Ad Hoc Duties:

  • Create new customer accounts, complete various forms, and assist with AR process documentation.
  • Maintain credit card, cash trackers, and support the US finance team as needed.

Person Specification

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting/finance, preferably within an AR role
  • Knowledge of VAT principles and multi-currency experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience using accounting software and Microsoft office, along with intermediate Excel skills – VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
