The
Interim Head of IT
position will provide strong leadership during a period of transition and improvement. The successful candidate will focus on upskilling the existing team, improving core business systems, and driving operational efficiency within the IT function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upskill and Develop Team: Assess the current IT team, run day-to-day operations, and implement development plans to elevate team performance.
- MRP System Recovery: Take ownership of the recovery and enhancement of the MRP system to ensure it meets business requirements.
- SQL Redevelopment: Lead efforts to redevelop SQL reporting systems (deep expertise not required, but foundational knowledge is essential).
- Business Systems Ownership: Oversee all business-critical systems, ensuring optimal performance, maintenance, and alignment with company goals.
- IT Operations Management: Overall responsibility for managing hardware, infrastructure, servers, and network systems, ensuring smooth operational performance.
- Balance Infrastructure & Software Needs: While the incumbent has been focused on hardware and infrastructure, this role requires a leader with the ability to bridge both hardware and business systems effectively.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of IT management across hardware, infrastructure, business systems, and software.
- Experience with MRP systems and the ability to guide teams through system recovery and optimisation.
- Familiarity with SQL reporting and redevelopment efforts (technical expertise is a plus but not mandatory).
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to assess and upskill teams, while managing both the technical and operational aspects of the IT function.
£500-600 per day outside IR35.
