IT Manager

POST Recruitment is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to join a niche manufacturing SME. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to take full ownership of the company's IT infrastructure, systems management, and project delivery. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless IT operations that support business growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee all IT services and computer systems across the business, ensuring operational excellence, security, and scalability.
  • Strategic IT Planning: Plan, organise, and control the company's IT operations to meet business needs within set timelines and budgets.
  • Project Leadership: Lead IT projects from conception to completion, including implementation of new technologies and systems integration.
  • System Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain IT systems, policies, and procedures that ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operation.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Safeguard data, network access, and backup systems, while ensuring compliance with data protection and information security standards.
  • Problem-Solving & Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of inefficiency and implement timely, strategic solutions to drive operational improvements.
  • Budget Management: Manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with company objectives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven Experience: Significant experience as an IT Manager, with a successful track record of managing IT operations and leading projects.
  • Manufacturing Sector Expertise: Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable, though not essential.
  • Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of IT management, data analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
  • Network & Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, data governance, and system installations.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with SAP, Freshdesk, Draytek, VPN, SQL, Server Management, AWS (Amazon Web Services), Magento, Active Directory, and email security systems.
  • Qualifications: BSc in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
  • Willing to work 5 days a week in the office

Additional Information:

  • Out of Hours Working: This role may occasionally require out-of-hours availability to address critical business issues.
