Hays are pleased to be working with a school in the Sefton area that is in need of a 1 to 1 SEND Teaching Assistant. This wonderful opportunity has arisen to join the enthusiastic and dedicated team at the primary school to work 1:1 with a child with additional needs, starting as soon as possible.
Your new role
We are seeking to appoint someone who is energetic, talented and ambitious and who can inspire, challenge, motivate and support both children and colleagues. The successful candidate will be an experienced teaching assistant with a background in supporting children with additional needs.
This is a full-time role covering a maternity post until May 2025.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful with your application, you need full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days of referenceable experience supporting children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:
- Previous experience working with children/students between the ages of 5-11
- An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous but not essential
- The ability to take a person-centred approach to learning
