£120- £140kpa, plus great benefits including a bonus potential of up to 40%, £7k car allowance.

Vitae are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a true global leader in their field, in recruiting a newly created Head of Treasury position. This team provides services across all active countries, all technologies, and all activities. The successful candidate will closely interact with senior leaders.

The Head of Treasury is responsible for managing the organization's treasury operations, including cash flow management, financing, risk management, and investment activities. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, and oversight of treasury policies to ensure the company's financial stability and growth. The Head of Treasury will work closely with senior management to align treasury strategies with overall corporate objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Cash Flow Management:

o Oversee daily cash management operations, including cash positioning, forecasting, and reporting.

o Ensure optimal liquidity levels to meet operational and strategic needs.

o Develop and implement cash management policies and procedures.

  • Financing and Capital Structure:

o Develop and execute strategies for capital needs including debt and equity financing.

o Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.

o Evaluate and negotiate terms of financing agreements to secure favourable terms for the company.

  • Risk Management:

o Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit risks.

o Implement and monitor hedging strategies to protect against financial market volatility.

o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.

  • Leadership:

o Build the treasury team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Treasury, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Ideally fully qualified (ACMT) and very likely a fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). You will have experience of developing cash forecasts and improving treasury setups with a demonstrated ability to take initiative and think creatively. This role will also require the need to manage complex projects to tight timescales.

This is a very exciting role, with it being a newly created one and having the ability to build a best-in-class Treasury function from the ground up. Future roles will also be available within the business, next moves could include a Divisional CFO role in the future.
