New Product Development Administrator

We are looking to recruit a New Product Development Administrator with exceptional administration, coordination and project administration support experience to assist the the New Product Development Team with all administrative tasks relating to the launch of new skin care and beauty products, Competitive salary and exceptional benefits package

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Your role is to manage all the administration relating to New Product Development from initial concept through to first production sign off; full responsibility for raising a SKU for each potential new product on SAP, organising sample management, liaising with factories overseas and across all HO departments such as marketing, design and technical teams. You will also have responsibility for Comp Shops and exhibition support. An ideal role for an experienced administrator with a real passion for the beauty industry

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will have at least 18 months experience in an administrative position, have strong attention to detail, be a natural problem solver and be a confident communicator. A background in project management or sales coordination with an understanding of Critical Path Management would be ideal.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setting up new items on SAP, updating product information throughout the NPD process
  • Set spec sheets and PA forms
  • Managing red/green and gold seal samples, ensuring samples are organised and tidy
  • Overseeing green and gold seal approvals. Coordinating with the wider teams to ensure checks are completed on time, liaising with suppliers to solve sampling and production related queries
  • Assisting the Product Developers in ad hoc tasks such as requesting component cutters, creating red seal approval forms, sample management, market research and PA updates
  • Support in conducting comp shops and store visits/benchmark purchasing
  • Completing detailed art work checks prior to final NPD sign off
  • Working with the operations department to ensure project sign offs align with shipment dates, making necessary updates to Critical Path
  • Managing sales sample requests; pulling or requesting additional NPD samples to support sales meetings
  • Supporting packing stock and props for events and exhibitions

SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE

  • Possess an understanding and a passion for the beauty industry
  • Be highly organised, able to deal with multi task environment, with a strong attention to detail to manage projects
  • Confident to liaise across the business including marketing, technical, design, sales), strong communicator with first class interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once to tight deadlines. Strong time management skills are essential
  • Any experience of SAP ideal but full training given to you if you have EXCEL or database management skills
  • Independent and proactive
