My client, a leading Manufacturer in Greater Manchester is searching for an experienced Planning Manager. This role offers high levels of autonomy, measurable targets with a clear bonus structure, and is critical to the business's success.

Role Description

  • Lead a team of 3 production planners and a material buyer. Providing influence/buyers to stakeholders in the process
  • Find solutions to minimise cost while ensuring OTIF is improved
  • Contribute to sales, operations and capacity strategy
  • Have a clear understanding of the production process from raw materials to finished goods
  • Work with teams such as sales, commercial to spot trends and any risks
  • Promote continuous improvement across the business

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience within a planning role in manufacturing
  • Strong people skills, both people and process management
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes from raw materials and to finished goods
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, computer literate
