Bookkeeping Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeping Manager to join our client, a well-established practice accountancy firm. The Bookkeeping Manager will be responsible for managing a small Bookkeeping team.

The responsibilities of the Bookkeeping Manager include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and lead the Bookkeeping team to meet departmental deadlines.
  • Oversee onboarding of new clients seeking bookkeeping services.
  • Ensure smooth and accurate processing of end-of-month payment runs.
  • Work with other department leaders to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Delegate work effectively, ensuring that the right tasks are passed on to team members.

Skills, Experience & Key Candidate Attributes:

  • In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, double-entry accounting and end-of-month payment runs.
  • Qualified with AAT Level 2.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and delegate tasks.
  • Familiarity with Xero and other cloud-based systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams and create efficiencies within processes.
