Our client, a leading provider of document management and archiving solutions, is looking for a Senior Transport Coordinator to join their team supporting administration, data, and record-keeping in Winsford

About the role:

The successful candidate will report to the Transport Team Leader. The position will support the Transport & Operations departments with the day-to-day administration, reporting, data capture, and record-keeping as well as procurement of supplies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Control of inbound/outbound customer assets with complete overview of scan audit trail, inc. exception resolution
  • Control of route planning and driver/vehicle utilisation
  • Effective response to vehicle defects and defect rectification
  • Accurate recording of fuel use and emissions data
  • Assist with the internal administration and preparation for monthly invoicing.
  • Driving duties – collections/deliveries when the operation requires it
  • Effective communication with the Customer Service team
  • Compliance with all Health and Safety standards, with particular reference to road transport legislation and Mine Regulations
  • Maintain the general appearance and condition of the store
  • Provide cover for and support to the Transport Team Leader
  • On-call duties will be required for out of hours drivers

Hours of work

Working hours are on a rotating shift pattern between the hours of 5am and 6pm. Typically 5am – 1pm or 10am – 6pm.

What you will need:

  • Category C Driving Licence and in-date Driver CPC is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • IT literacy
  • To be comfortable with working independently through key periods of the day
  • To be adaptable and flexible to varied work situations and shift patterns
  • To be self-motivated.
  • An accredited counterbalance FLT qualification
  • Good knowledge of the UK road network
