Type: 12 month Fixed Contract - 21 hours per week
Salary: £27,500 - £30,000 - (pro rata circa £15,500)

Eden Brown are recruiting for a Progress Coach for a Training Provider providing training to students who are already employed or preparing to enter into their chosen profession.

This role is homebased with travel expected as and when required, it is part time 12 month fixed term maternity cover - 21 hours per week.

You will provide support to assist apprentices with pastoral support, helping them achieve their best possible outcomes. The role will include working with a caseload of learners to provide them with individual learning support such as building confidence and motivation, that will help them progress with their course or apprenticeships and support their achievement. This may include supporting literacy and numeracy.

You will be a key part of the team and will assist in the planning, preparation & reviewing of learning in conjunction with relevant curriculum staff, providing feedback and carrying out reviews as appropriate to ensure apprentices are making expected progress and working towards outcomes.

This role would suit a Learner Support Coach who is passionate about delivering high quality, additional learning support for apprentices. Support can be delivered on a flexible 1:1 or small group basis, in person or remotely.

Duties to include:

1. Monitoring and support of an engaging and robust induction programme across all programmes, concentrating on the 6-week point sign off to ensure early intervention.
2. Support initial assessment and additional learning support as required within the business, logging all paperwork correctly to enable a compliant audit in relation to ALS funding.
3. In conjunction with the Curriculum Leads, oversee progressions and destinations across all programmes.
4. Implementing a retention strategy including overseeing student attendance, identifying and organising support for 'at risk' students including additional support where required.
5. Working with all Curriculum Learning Coaches to proactively and effectively manage at risk students to ensure they have the support required to achieve and progress in a timely manner.
6. Working with delivery staff and Apprentices in a supportive capacity to prevent potential disciplinary situations from escalating and maintaining student discipline within the business in accordance with the ITS student disciplinary process.
7. Working with delivery staff and Apprentices in a supportive capacity to ensure pastoral support is provided where needed.
8. Ensuring that student reports to parents for 16-17-year-olds are maintained accurately and are available by the required deadlines.

Candidates must have:

  • Teaching qualification at level 3
  • English and Maths or equivalent at level 2 or above or willingness to work towards
  • Evidence of Professional CPD updating
  • Experience delivering high quality additional learning support.
  • Experience of working with learners on a 1:1 basis or group basis
